Privacy issues confronting the sharing of information in an integrated justice environment ("Issues document") is one of the most significant contributions of Illinois's integrated justice initiative. The Issues document is a listing of the privacy concerns that justice agencies should consider addressing as they develop and utilize new information systems. It is especially significant in that Illinois is the only state that has prepared such a document and made it publicly available.
A goal of JusticePrivacy.com is to offer a forum for discussion of the privacy issues faced by justice practitioners.
Nevertheless, Illinois has not yet created a process whereby justice practitioners or interested members of the public can comment on existing issues or add new issues. This section of JusticePrivacy.com is intended to offer a forum for discussion of these issues and foster the continuing evolution of Illinois's Issues document.
